In addition to the featured Department of Dance concerts, students are encouraged to present their works in progress in several different formats throughout the semester.
Each month an Open Showing is held as an opportunity for students to show their choreographic or performance work at any stage in its development. This is an opportunity for students to get feedback from their peers in a safe and supportive environment in order to develop their work and process.
At the end of each semester informal, public showings entitled New Dances are held in the Dance Theatre. The final New Dances performance in the Spring semester is a showing of work from the seniors graduating from the Department of Dance.
