Highlights

Every year, the Department of Dance draws a rich collection of internationally- known artists and scholars who offer exciting programs to our community. The opportunity to engage in special workshops, guest lectures, and performances enrich our students' experiences and help make our Department unique.

Our own undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and artists-in-residence also make significant contributions as artists and scholars both at UMD and outside the campus. They participate in professional performances; they receive regional and national awards; they win grants from prestigious organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts. All these achievements testify to the outstanding quality of our programs.
