Sharon Mansur is a dance artist and educator focusing on experimental performance, improvisation, somatic studies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and site-specific dance. She received a 2014 Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in solo dance performance, and collaborates with improvisationally based artists throughout the U.S, including Joanna Rotkin (Boulder, CO), Christy Fisher (Seattle, WA), Maré Hieronimus (NYC), and Daniel Burkholder (Milwaukee, WI). During spring 2015 Daniel and Sharon were invited guest artists with the dance company Ceibadanza in Ecuador, and this fall Sharon is a guest artist with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee dance department. This season her dance films are being screened at: Underground FilmFest (Germany), Movies by Movers Dance Film Festival (North Carolina), Light Moves Festival of Screendance (Ireland), and Mirror Mountain Film Festival (Canada).
