Sylvia Druker is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance.  Trained in England, she has taught classical ballet and choreographed ballets in England and the United States.  Her involvement with the Royal Academy of Dance has been threefold:  training students for the RAD examinations, organizing teacher training workshops, and serving as chairperson of the regional advisory panel of the US-Mid-Atlantic Region of the RAD.

Ms. Druker recently retired from The Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore where she was on the dance faculty for 12 years.  She taught ballet to the upper level students and was the RAD Coordinator.  She has been a guest teacher at many schools in the Mid-Atlantic states, and has taught at conferences, including the Royal Academy of Dance Annual Dance Day, the Cecchetti Society, and the American College Dance Festival.  Ms. Druker is a lecturer at the University of Maryland, College Park, a position she has held since 1977.  She also teaches ballet at Berrend Dance Center in Olney, Maryland.
